FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mind the Frontline Announces Strategic Partnership with the Borough of Manhattan Community College Paramedic Program.
New York, NY – February 18, 2025 – Mind the Frontline is proud to announce a new partnership with the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) Paramedic Program, furthering its mission to provide first responders with high-quality mental health and wellness resources. This collaboration ensures that BMCC Paramedic students have access to the critical support they need to build resilience and thrive in their careers.
BMCC is committed to equipping future paramedics with the tools necessary to navigate the challenges of emergency medical services (EMS). Recognizing the importance of mental health, BMCC values first responder-based and peer-led mental health resources, ensuring that its students are supported as they enter this demanding profession.
BMCC’s Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Paramedic Program offers comprehensive training in advanced life support, emergency patient care, and hands-on clinical experiences in hospital settings. Students train on state-of-the-art equipment, including the only Ambulance Driving Simulator in New York State and diverse, lifelike manikins designed to enhance cultural competency in patient care. Through this rigorous program, BMCC prepares paramedic students to confidently respond to emergencies, saving lives while maintaining their own well-being.
The collaboration between Mind the Frontline and BMCC underscores a shared commitment to supporting the mental health of first responders from the very start of their careers. Through this partnership, BMCC paramedic students will gain access to specialized mental health resources tailored to the unique stressors they will face in the field.
“Paramedics and first responders experience an immense amount of stress in their roles. By integrating mental health resources early in their training, we can ensure they have the tools to build resilience and sustain long, fulfilling careers in EMS,” said [Representative]. “We’re honored to partner with BMCC to provide these future lifesavers with the support they deserve.”
