Overview

At Mind the Frontline, our mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of our dedicated first responders who tirelessly serve our communities.

To further this mission and expand our reach, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Grant Writer.

As a Grant Writer, you will play a vital role in securing funding and resources that enable us to continue and expand our mental health support programs.



Responsibilities

  • Research and Identify Grant Opportunities: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources that align with our organization's mission.

  • Grant Proposal Writing: Prepare well-structured and persuasive grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure funding for various projects and initiatives related to first responder mental health and wellness.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team to gather the necessary information and data to support grant applications, including program details, budgets, and impact reports.

  • Grant Management: Monitor and manage the progress of grant applications, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are submitted as required by grantors.

  • Maintain Records: Keep organized records of grant applications, awards, and communications for reference and reporting purposes.

  • Networking: Build and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, donors, and partners to strengthen our grant-seeking efforts.

  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant regulations to enhance our grant-writing strategies.


Requirements

  • Passion for Our Mission: A genuine interest in and commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of first responders.

  • Grant Writing Experience: Demonstrated experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants for non-profit organizations.

  • Strong Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate our mission and impact.

  • Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities.

  • Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in grant applications and reporting.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to handle multiple grant applications and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with grant management software and tools.

  • Availability: Commitment to a flexible volunteering schedule to meet grant application deadlines and reporting requirements.
