Peer Support Responder
Overview
Mind the Frontline is a leading organization dedicated to providing mental health support and resources to frontline workers. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Responder. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate support and resources to individuals in crisis and promoting mental resilience among frontline workers.
Responsibilities

Check HubSpot Peer Support Team for Intake tickets to process and initiate conversations with individuals in crisis.

Utilize mental resilience tactics to mitigate further issues for the person in crisis.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of the difference between a "problem" and a "crisis" and provide appropriate support accordingly.

Encourage peer support responders to reflect on their years of experience as healthcare providers and identify transferable skills and knowledge that can enhance their ability to connect with and support frontline workers.

Share examples of personal experiences to help foster a stronger connection with and support for frontline workers.

Triage incoming requests, assess their urgency, and identify potential crises that require immediate attention.

Collaborate with the team to ensure a coordinated and effective response to crisis situations.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions with individuals seeking support.
Requirements

Active first responder status
-
Preferred experience in peer support, providing support and resources to individuals in need.

Completion of the SAMSHA online training

Service to Self
-
Creating Safe Scenes
-
-
Completion of Death Communication® Training for First Responders - ER.
-
NAEMT Certification of the Mental Health Resilience Officer course is preferred.
